FLIP PALLOT
Flip Pallot, a native of Coral Gables, Florida, grew up fishing
in South Florida and the Keys in the 1950s, when light-tackle
saltwater fishing was in its infancy. After a stint in the Peace
Corps, followed by a job as a loan officer, he parlayed his
enduring passion for the outdoors into a successful career as
a professional guide and a consultant for manufacturers of boats,
tackle, and other outdoor equipment. Best known as the engaging
host of the long-running ESPN2 show Walker’s Cay Chronicles.
In addition to a book on early-day South Florida fly fishing,
Flip Pallot’s Memories, Mangroves & Magic, he has
authored numerous articles for major fishing publications. He
makes frequent appearances at fishing clinics and trade shows
and has held several world records for catches on a fly rod.
